Defining moments for Women in 2020-21

 Hey Explorers!

Today is 8th of March; International Women's Day.

A day dedicated to the true power of society.

A day dedicated to a daughter, a sister, a friend, a woman, a wife, a mother, a grandma, and a goddess.

A day dedicated to the true support of any family.

A day dedicated to the person who plays several roles in her life starting from a daughter to becoming a grandma.

So on this 8th of March lets look into some Defining moments for Women in 2020-21:

1. Women leaders shine in the period of Covide19; Like New Zealand, Germany, Finland, etc.
2. By 2020 there are 22 countries/nations where a female is the head of a state or a government.
3. Kamaladevi Harris made history by becoming the first female, first south asian descent, and first non american born Vice President of the United States of America.
4. Scotland makes sanitary products free for all.
5. Afghan mothers name will be included on their children's Ids.
6. Equal pay for the women footballers in Brazil & Sierra.
7. Times name first kid of the year; Gitanjali Rao, a fifteen year old Indian-America young inventor.
8. Two women won the Noble Prize in Chemistry; Emmanuelle Chapentier & Jennifer Doudna.
9. NASA astronaut  Kate Rubins ( @Astro_Kate on Twitter ) harvested fresh radishes grown in the Advanced Plant Habitat on the International Space Station.
10. FM Nirmala Sitharaman presented the first all digital union budget 2021 in the parliament.
11.  Under the lead of Dr. Swati Mohan the Indian-American scientist, perseverance rover successfully landed on Mars. She was appreciated by President Biden for her extra ordinary work on the Mars mission2020 on which she was working from last 8 years. Moreover, her photo with a bindi went viral after she proudly wear a bindi and announced the touchdown of the Perseverance rover.     

A big salute to all the women working hard and making their family, society, nation and the world feel proud.

Such a great year for all proud women. Let us all take a pledge on this Women's Day to respect each women, to help each of them to achieve their dreams, and shine like a bright star.
