Defining moments for Women in 2021-22

Today is 8th of March; International Women's Day.
A day dedicated to the true power of society.
A day dedicated to a daughter, a sister, a friend, a woman, a wife, a mother, a grandma, and goddess.
A day dedicated to the true support of any family.
A day dedicated to the person who plays several roles in her life starting from a daughter to becoming a grandma.
So on this 8th of March lets look into some Defining moments for Women in 2021-22:
- Women leaders shine in the period of Covide19; Like New Zealand, Germany, Finland, etc.
- By 2022 there are 70 countries/nations where a female is the head of a state or a government.
- Kamaladevi Harris made history by becoming the first female, first south Asian descent, and first non American born Vice President of the United States of America, office : Jan 2021 - present.
- Scotland makes sanitary products free for all.
- Afghan mothers name will be included on their children's Ids.
- Equal pay for the women footballers in Brazil & Sierra.
- The next Dragon mission Crew-4 by SpaceX to International Space Station will have 2 female astronauts (Samantha Crishtoforetti & Jessica Watkins), scheduled to launch on 15th April 2022.
- NASA astronaut Kayla Barron ( astro_kayla - Instagram ) harvested fresh chili peppers grown in the Advanced Plant Habitat on the International Space Station.
- FM Nirmala Sitharaman presented the digital union budget 2022 in the parliament.
- Under the lead of Dr. Swati Mohan the Indian-American scientist, perseverance rover successfully landed on Mars in 2020; The mission will be active for next 15 years. Dr.Mohan is heading the mission & was also responsible for the first UAV (Unmanned Arial Vehicle) flight on another planet in human history. She was appreciated by President Biden for her extra ordinary work on the Mars mission2020 on which she was working from last 8 years. Moreover, her photo with a bindi went viral after she proudly wear a bindi and announced the touchdown of the Perseverance rover.
- Falguni Nayra, founder & CEO of fashion beauty brand Nykaa, became India's richest women on Nykaa's IPO; with a net worth of $6.5 billion USD. At an age of 50 she founded Nykaa, with no prior experience in startups & went on the became, India's richest self-made billionaire - female.
- Alka Mittal became the first women to head ONGC (Oil & Natural Gas Corporation), India's largest oil & gas producer.
- Indian Women Cricket Team Captain Mithali Raj crossed 7000 ODI rans, leading the list with highest runs in WODI in history of women cricket.
- Indian Women Cricket Team collectively created 10 world records in 2021.
- Mackenzie Scott has announced a total of $9 billion USD in donation till now, highest by any women in history. Mackenzie still holds the rank of world's richest women.
- Mirabai Chanu, PV Sindhu, Lovlina Borgohain, Aditi Ashok, Kamalpreet Kaur & India's women's hockey team created history by setting new national records & great achievements at Olympics.
- Anna Kiesenhofer won Gold medal in women's cycling in the Tokyo Olympics, what intrigued me more is that professionally, she is a scientist, working full time as a postdoctoral fellow in the department of mathematics at Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, Switzerland. Currently working on nonlinear partial differential equations to solve questions in the field of quantum physics.
A big salute to all the women working hard and making their family, society, nation and the world feel proud.
