Inside the iconic Space Shuttle

Hey Explorers !

Lets talk about something very interesting, fascinating, electrifying, amazing, ....

ok now words are less to describe this wonderful thing.

If you know this, you know one of the golden eras of space industry.

The Space Shuttle,

this partially reusable low Earth orbital spacecraft served astronauts for 30 years; 1981-2011.

Only 5 such master-piece were created by NASA & were flown for a total of 135 space missions.

All 135 missions lifted-off from Kennedy Space Center, Florida.

& this project costed whooping US$211 billion.

I used to see a dream; travelling in this always seemed mesmerizing.

& when its retirement was announced; following the last flight which landed back on July 21, 2011; I was so sad.

But now we have more fascinating & exciting, Dragon; docked on falcon9 serving space missions, & soon the Starship on the Super Heavy booster will be taking humans to Moon & Mars.

This makes me realize that until we remain curious, creative & innovating; we will be having the best upcoming spacecrafts to serve astronauts & eventually fulfilling dreams of  millions :)
